History in Practice

Exhibition design and curation, Oslo 2019 in collaboration with Svingen Arkitektkontor, sponsored by OAF and NAL.

History in Practice is an exhibition of 36 emerging Norwegian architecture studios currently being show in the Oslo Architect’s Association. It will travel to Stavanger and Trondheim during 2019. The exhibition began with an open call for emerging offices to send in a single image and text. The material should relate to how the studio uses historical references in there daily work. A collection of 36 images and short texts gave were exhibited and on the opening night 5 offices presented their work. This was a continuation of the Unbuilt House exhibition and Holt O’Brien’s work promoting and creating a platform for emerging architects in Norway. Exhibition opening photos by Wu Xian
